Fleet and Equipment Services Specialist

The Fleet and Equipment Services Specialist is responsible for the ongoing readiness, inspection, maintenance planning, and service coordination of the company’s fleet trucks and equipment. This role focuses on proactive maintenance, accurate documentation, and ensuring vehicles and job-site equipment are dispatched in safe and fully serviceable condition. The specialist will coordinate repairs with local vendors/companies as needed and exercise critical thinking to anticipate issues before they become downtime. Key Responsibilities Proactive Maintenance & Readiness Inspect and document conditions of fleet trucks and equipment (including routine maintenance needs). Anticipate maintenance requirements for fleet trucks, light equipment, and heavy equipment to minimize downtime. Ensure all vehicles/equipment are ready for job sites before dispatch (Tagged/Registration Valid) Repairs Coordination Coordinate repairs and service work with local repair companies as needed. Communicate issues clearly to vendors and track repair status through completion. Ability to repair and diagnosis smaller repairs to maintain vehicles and equipment as needed. Documentation & Recordkeeping Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service documentation, and records of repairs, inspections, and vendor work. Provide reporting as needed to support fleet management and operational planning both in paper and electronically. Equipment Coverage Support maintenance and readiness for equipment such as: Skytracks Skid steers Fleet trucks Trailers Scissor lifts Tooling Travel to and from job site with equipment.
