About the Job
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team and ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our industrial production facility. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can direct and develop a maintenance team while also performing hands-on repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, organization, and the ability to communicate maintenance needs and completed work to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and direct the maintenance team.
Perform hands-on electrical, mechanical, and general equipment repairs.
Troubleshoot motors, controls, pumps, valves, blending equipment, and other plant machinery.
Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and production-related maintenance issues.
Prioritize repairs based on safety, production needs, and urgency.
Coordinate maintenance activities with plant and production leadership.
Accurately document repairs, preventative maintenance, parts used, and outstanding issues.
Communicate repair status, equipment concerns, and recommendations to leadership.
Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend solutions to reduce downtime.
Manage maintenance parts, tools, and supplies as needed.
Coordinate outside contractors and specialized service providers when necessary.
Train and hold maintenance personnel accountable for safety, quality, and productivity.
Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities as needed
Requirements
3–5 years of maintenance experience preferred, preferably in manufacturing, chemical, industrial, or production environments.
Electrical experience - Journeyman Electrician preferred.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and direct a maintenance team.
Must be comfortable performing hands-on repairs and maintenance.
Ability to read electrical schematics and equipment documentation.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work scheduled hours and participate in emergency on-call coverage.
Preferred: Manufacturing experience, PLCs and motor controls, industrial electrical systems, preventative maintenance programs, and experience managing maintenance personnel.
