About the Job
The Technician II is responsible for welding, fabrication, diagnostics, and repair of light- and medium-duty equipment, including hydraulics, diesel systems, A/C, and small engines. It requires maintaining clean work areas and service trucks, completing paperwork accurately, making service calls, and continuing training and certifications. The job demands working in extreme temperatures, hazardous environments, confined spaces, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm. Friday 7:00am-11am.
Requirements
Must obtain a valid Texas Class B Driver’s license within (1) year of hire.
Must obtain an ASE A1 Engine repair certification and ASE A6 Electrical Systems certification within (1) year of hire date or as budget allows.
Must have enough education to read & write effectively for this position; must be able to comprehend and speak the English language;Â a high school diploma or G.E.D. is a plus but not required.Â
Prefer two years or more experience in maintenance and repair of a wide variety of motorized equipment, welding in automotive or construction field.Â
Technical training preferred.
