About the Job
The Maintenance Lead will serve as a hands-on member of the maintenance team with added responsibility for MaintainX/work-order administration, basic maintenance planning, preventative maintenance tracking, and parts ordering. This is not a manager or supervisor role. The Maintenance Lead works on equipment and receives work orders alongside the team while helping keep maintenance activity organized and visible to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs on production equipment, heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and related assets.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, wiring/control, motor, pump, bearing, conveyor, and gearbox issues; perform welding/fabrication as needed.
• Review MaintainX requests, approve routine requests within guidelines, monitor open/overdue work, and help distribute work orders among all maintenance team members, including self.
• Assist with basic maintenance planning by identifying needed labor, parts, tools, information, and anticipated equipment downtime.
• Monitor preventative maintenance schedules, complete assigned PMs, and create follow-up work orders when additional repairs are identified.
• Identify, source, and order parts/supplies; verify part numbers/specifications and compare price, quality, availability, and lead time.
• Maintain accurate work-order, repair, parts, and equipment-history records and communicate significant issues to the General Manager. Schedule Options:
Monday -Thursday: 6am - 5pm
Friday: 6am - 4pm
OR
Monday-Thursday: 6:30am - 5:30pm
Friday: 6:30am - 4pm

Monday-Thursday: 7am - 6pm
Friday: 7am - 4pm
Also, the individual will be in an alternating Saturday rotation, working every 3rd Saturday from 7am - approximately noon or early afternoon.
Requirements
Must have a Valid DL and be eligible to drive a company vehicle.
HSD/GED Preferred
Strong hands-on industrial maintenance, diesel, fleet, or heavy-equipment troubleshooting experience; strong electrical/wiring diagnostic ability.
Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, bearings, pumps, belts, conveyors, gearboxes, and diesel systems; heavy equipment/Class 8 truck experience preferred.
Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, service manuals, and technical information; welding/fabrication skills preferred.
Comfortable with computers, tablets, smartphones, MaintainX/CMMS, digital manuals, parts lookup systems, and electronic records.
Organized, dependable, detail-oriented, cost-conscious, and able to manage multiple maintenance needs with strong follow-through.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and handle heavy tools, parts, and equipment components and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, push, and pull as maintenance work requires.
Ability to work on, under, and around machinery, vehicles, and heavy equipment for extended periods and safely use ladders, platforms, hand/power tools, and shop equipment.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures, weather, noise, dust, shop, quarry, yard, production, and fleet conditions while using required PPE.
